Lucky the Lizard lives in a tree,
Never a fella as lucky as he.
Luck in the morning.
And luck in the eve.
A luck like this lizard, not a one could believe.
One day Lucky lizard took a trip far away.
He wanted to see sights, and have his heyday.
What could possibly happen to the chillest alive?
Through stones, bricks, and branches he jigged and he jived.
Lucky ol’ lizard climbed up a doorway.
Nothing and no one could get in his way.
He slithered and withered, straight up did he climb.
A journey of ages, what could be more sublime?
As luck would have it, he snoozed and he cruised.
To his next adventure, with nary a bruise.
The luck of this lizard just couldn’t be beat.
My poor Puppy Anna missed out on a treat.
And Perhaps, he went on to do commercials. Heh.
Look, another entry to The Daily Post Silhouette Challenge.

It wasn’t until seeing the last two photos with Anna that I understood how “Lucky” got his name.
Cool series!
Yes, indeed! We had a not so lucky visitor inside the house.
Super cute!
Anna Pup is something else.
Love this. We have a ‘Lucky’ on our bedroom window.
Ha! Oh good. Windows are a nice spot.
I love your poetry limerick! So lively and upbeat! Another lucky lizard, love it!
I am a fan of silly. I am not a poet, so this is the next best thing.
Yes I’d say Lucky earned his name here, our Dachshund Dixie has quite a ball playing with the lizards here, they can go for months without incident and once the lizard gets a bit lazy they are lucky no more, we call her Dixie The Lizard Getter :^0
Anna has been fast enough to catch a tail of one sitting out on the back porch. And once when one ran inside. A little more than the tail came off. I watched as it’s tail flipped all over the place – disgusted and fascinated. HA. Poor thing didn’t make it. My husband was not happy I covered it and left it for him to pick up in the morning. LOL. Dixie must be pretty quick!
Love your poem and your silhouette photos…very nice!
Thank-you! I was on the phone talking to my mom when I saw it. I had to grab my camera while talking to her. It was too cute to pass up.
Love that second shot!
Thanks a bunch. It was a cool to see it.
What a fabulous story and pictures to show Lucky’s silhouette. I love the creativity Angelia.
I work at home. I have to find ways to entertain myself. Ha ha!
What a lucky lucky lizard for sure, my cats would agree with Lucky on his snack choice! Great poem…
Yes, I hear they are quite tasty. Not my cup of tea though! HA.
wonderful picture-poem!

Thank-you dear Fritz!
Love this! Great submission for the postaweek photo challenge!
I also got to post it to my photography group. We had a silhouette challenge this week as well. Now, who’s lucky?? HA.
Very Nice Pictures- love the Lizard~
He went on to live another day.
love the accompanying poem too!
Thanks Imelda! I don’t usually do poems. I have to think too hard. HA.
GREAT photos!
Hey, AA! Great to see you around.
Thank-you!
So fun, and I love the photos, especially the last one.
Thanks Carol. She is a fun dog. She, also, catches moths. THAT is pretty entertaining.
OMG…you’re so creative. At first I didn’t “see” the pup in the photos!
I know! She wouldn’t just put her doggie head up there. She had to reach a paw up too. I, actually, had to get to the side to get more of a profile with her doggie ears.
Love Lucky Lizard’s story. Fun, adventurous, exciting. The B and W effect added to the mystery and suspense. Have a great weekend.
The B&W really made it pop. There wasn’t much color anyway, so I liked how it turned out. Thank you so much! And thanks for the tweets! I need to remember to tweet more.
It took me to the last photo to realize it was the silhouette of a dog. Lucky had her undivided attention!
Poor dog didn’t get so lucky. I think Anna was confused her little paw couldn’t reach. HA.
LOL love this! Lizards at my house need all the luck they can get when faced with the cats too!
I bet! I miss my cat. We didn’t have lizards (or snakes) when she was around.
Lucky indeed! I was wondering about the silhouette till I read the last lines.
Ha. Yes, very Lucky. And I am lucky I didn’t have a lizard mess to clean up.

I love this! So cute and great photos to go with it
We had pet anole lizards! Mine, named Harriet, was the best. Great photos, Angelia!
Wow! You were definitely in the right place at the right time!
You are so clever and creative…love this!
… and the little ones are now asleep.
You can definitely turn this into a children’s book. Just make it a little colorful.
